In a major crackdown, the Tuni rural police have filed several cases on the unruly protestors and leaders who destroyed crores of public property and caused a state of panic and terror among the people of Tuni and other surrounding areas during the Kapu Aikya Garjana agitation meet.

The cops have named former MP and Kapu Aikya Garjana mastermind Mudragada Padmanabham as the accused number one. Also, several cases were filed on a media house's head, the owner of the protest meeting land, Congress leaders C Ramachandraiah and Pallam Raju, BJP leader Kanna Lakshminarayana and YSRCP leaders Botsa Satyanarayana and Jyothula Nehru etc.

As per the reports, the government is planning to handover the case to the CID and the CID chief Dwaraka Thirumalarao started his inquiries over the riots. At least 57 cases in Tuni rural police station, 7 cases in Tuni town PS and 3 cases in the Tuni railway station have been filed by the police.
